Hack im Apple Store: Corrupt.desktop

Kleiner Hack von Benjamin Gaulon, der mit dem verursachten Glitch von Corrupt.desktop wahrscheinlich jeden Apple Store Mitarbeiter in die Verzweiflung treiben kann.

“Corrupt.desktop glitch, in real time, the computer’s desktop image. So if you want to glitch your local Apple Store or Apple Retailer simply download the App (from the shop’s computer): DOWNLOAD Corrupt.desktop. Corrupt.online, Corrupt.video and Corrupt.desktop are using the same algorithm, which consists of a binary alteration of the original data. So technically Corrupt damages the data on a binary level, which result in unpredictable and beautiful results. A project by Martial Geoffre-Rouland and Benjamin Gaulon, based on Corrupt a web based Glitch Art Software allowing its user to upload and share corrupted images on www.corrupt.recyclism.com.”

Eine Tourismus-Werbekampagne: Kiffen in Colorado?

Letzte Woche wurde in den US-Bundesstaaten Colorado und Washington per Volksentscheid darüber abgestimmt, ob der Anbau und der Besitz von Marihuana zukünftig zu legalisieren sei. In beiden Bundesstaaten entschieden sich über 50% der Abstimmenden für eine Legalisierung von Cannabis. Durch ist die Sache damit nicht, denn mit einem Bundesgesetz lässt sich das Volksbegehren nicht vereinbaren, Cannabis bleibt deshalb in beiden Bundesstaaten nach wie vor illegal.

Das alles allerdings hat einen Spaßvogel nicht davon abgehalten, diese gefakte Tourismus-Werbekampagne im Namen des offiziellen Tourismusbüros von Colorado ins Netz zu stellen. Der Originalspot kommt von VW. Und vielleicht kommen derartige Spots ja perspektivisch dann auch von offiziellen Stellen. Urlaub soll schließlich auch Spaß machen.

Parkour Running 1930

Wer dachte Parkour Running sei auch so einer Errungenschaft der Neuzeit, weit gefehlt. Selbst einige aus der Generation unserer Opas kraxelten an Wände hoch und sprangen in halsbrecherische Tiefen. So wie hier im Jahr 1930.

Shlohmo hat diesen Remix für Little Dragons „Sunshine“ wohl schon im Mai diesen Jahres gemacht, allerdings wurde der bis heute nicht veröffentlicht. „thx n <3 to lil dragon n dem did this back in may but it's never gonna get released sooo fuck it." Also packt er den auf zum Download auf Soundcloud. So nämlich geht das heute. Allerdings waren die 100 Downloads natürlich rucki zucki weg. Und dennoch hat das Dingen dann einer auf Mediafire geladen. Natürlich.

Städte bei Nacht aus Sicht der ISS als Video

Hatte ich hier partiell schon in Form von Bildern, jetzt auch als Hi-Res Video, aufgenommen von der ISS. Leider ist die Musik dazu ganz dolle gruselig.

City lights broadcast our existence into the night of space. Imagine how the Earth will look to astronauts in a century’s time or longer? These images are incredibly difficult to take from a spacecraft traveling along at almost 28,000 kilometers per hour. The images are held at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in a special archive for astronaut photography. Watch for the great cities of Beijing, Istanbul, Melbourne, Montreal, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Buenos Aires, Brasilia (one of our favorites), and more.

Boombox Armbanduhr

Für alle Old school Styler, die Uhren mögen und ihren Wunschzettel noch nicht ganz voll haben: die Boombox Armbanduhr auf Think Geek. Ich mag zwar Boomboxen außerordentlich gerne, Uhren dafür um so weniger. Sieht trotzdem hübsch aus, das Ding.
