Diese Band, geschaffen von James Cochrane, nennt sich „The Bit 52’s“ und sie spielt, na klar, „The B52’s“.
„This is dedicated to all fans of The B-52’s who are also known as the „Worlds Greatest Party Band“. It just so happens they currently on tour so go out and buy some tickets. This idea has been simmering in my mind for the last couple of years and after many months of procrastinating it is finally complete.“

Tanith, Saetchmo und meine Wenigkeit bringen den Dub in die ehemalige Stahlstadt an der Havel . Als ich das letzte Mal in Brandenburg gewesen bin und dort auch das Auto verlassen habe, stand die Mauer noch. Echt jetzt. Dabei ist es gar nicht soweit weg.
Ein KommentarThe UK gets most of the shine for the whole post-dubstep/future-garage/whatever-the-hell-it’s-called-this-week scene, but a few US artists have been making some noise over on this side of the pond. One such act is Sepalcure, the Brooklyn-based duo of Travis Stewart (a.k.a. Machinedrum) and Praveen Sharma. After years spent working together running the Cassette NYC club night and the online mix archive Percussion Lab, last year the producers joined forces in the studio, focusing on the soulful sounds of ’90s house, 2-step, and UK bass music. Their debut, the Love Pressure EP, dropped earlier this summer on the esteemed Hotflush label, and now we’ve corralled the boys into assembling an exclusive mix for the XLR8R podcast. And not to get all patriotic and flag-waving, but Sepalcure has done the US of A real proud here, expanding their sound palette even further while adeptly shifting tempos, moods, and styles over the course of 23 tracks and 51 minutes.

Inhabitat hat eine ziemlich beeindruckende Erläuterung, wie man aus einer bestimmten Gattung von Quallen Jellyfishes quasi Solarzellen machen kann.
An diesem Tisch schmeckt der Kuchen mit Oma doch gleich doppelt so gut, zumal man ihr endlich mal erklären könnte, was man in seiner jugendlichen Freizeit den ganzen Tag so getrieben hat.
