Die Implosion zweier Kühltürme

462′ cooling towers at St. Johns River Power Park explosively demolished on June 16th, 2018. The towers had been taken out of service as part of the changing use of the power station and since they were disused it was decided to demolish them – it took 10 weeks to prepare for the detonation and cost an estimated $10 million.

Bus-Surfing Berlin

Früher ging man in Berlin auf S-Bahnen ´surfen. Aber in den Bahnen gehen die Türen nicht mehr auf. Vielleicht steigen auch deshalb manche Lebensmüde mittlerweile auf Dächer von Bussen. Gefährlich und nicht sonderlich durchdacht imho.

Kurzer Blick auf neue Entwicklung an der Controller-Front: Rane bringt mit dem Rane One einen DJ-Controller mit motorisierten, rotierenden Jogwheels. Die Dinger haben 7,2 inch und erinnern nicht nur optisch an kleine Vinyl. Noch im ersten Quartal soll der Rane One zu kaufen sein – für 1799 Dollar nicht unbedingt ein Schnäppchen. Dran drehen würde ich dennoch schon mal ganz gerne.

Keine Ahnung, ob Moflin tatsächlich irgendwie emotional was geben kann, aber wer meint, dass das sein könnte, kann es ja versuchen. Jedenfalls hat man mit dem Knuffi an US-Flughäfen keinen Ärger mehr, wenn man sein „emotional support“-Haustier mitnehmen möchte und das halt kein Alligator oder eine Giraffe sein soll.

Der Erfinder von Moflin, hat damit immerhin $600k auf Kickstarter gesammelt.

Om Unit hat gestern auf swu.fm seine erste Radioshow des Jahres gespielt und sich dafür einen Guest-Mix von Martyn zimmern lassen.
