Cowcam — Kühe fotografieren ihren Standpunkt

Falls heute wer etwas Zeit übrig haben sollte, bitte sehr: Cowcam.

„Eine Minikamera mit Zeitauslöser fotografiert ca. alle 5 Minuten ein Bild. Umgehängt wie eine Kuhglocke wird die Kamera am wenigsten beschädigt und die Kuh fühlt sich auch nicht irritiert.

Die Auswertung der Bilder ist immer wieder überraschend. Viele Fotos sind unerkenntlich, andere mit guter Bildschärfe, faszinierend in ihrer Unschärfe, Über- bzw. Unterbelichtung.

Eine Auswahl der schönsten Aufnahmen ist als Postkarten Kollektion erhältlich“.

Pumpkin, ein Igel ohne Stacheln.

A poorly hedgehog was feeling a little less prickly after it was brought into a rescue centre – completely bald and with no SPIKES. Pumpkin, who is only a baby, is thought to have contracted a skin condition which slowly saw him lose his spines and fur. Now the bald animal, which looks like it is from the prehistoric age, will have to spend the winter in a heated room inside a fleece through fear he could freeze to death without his protective covering. Jules Bishop, owner of Prickles Hedgehog Rescue Centre, where Pumpkin was taken, said at first she thought he had an infection, but it quickly turned into more.
