Eine selbstständig fliegende Drohne als filmender Begleiter: Lily

Lily ist ein handlicher Quadrocopter, der selbstständig sowohl fliegen als auch steuern kann. Per Interface bleibt sie so immer in der Nähe von dem, den sie begleiten und filmen soll. So wie ein kleines Haustier, das mit 1080p HD Videos aufnehmen kann. Das nenne ich Innovation und freue mich auf die Videos, die damit entstehen werden, denn das verspricht ganz neue Perspektiven.

Das Teil ist wasserdicht, das Akku hält wohl 20 Minuten. Aktuell kann Lily für $499.00 vorbestellt werden. Geliefert wird dann ab Februar 2016. Ich überlege gerade…

Graffiti-Drohne malt auf die größte Werbetafel New York Citys

Im letzten Jahr hat der Street Art Künstler Katsu eine Graffiti-Drohne entwickelt und in einem Studio gezeigt. Mitte der Woche hat er das Teil nun beim Sprühen in der Öffentlichkeit gefilmt – und zwar am größten und meist gesehenen Billboards New York Citys.

The Calvin Klein billboard, one of New York City’s largest, sits at the busy intersection of Houston St and Lafayette St. The graffiti drone’s potential for troublemaking on an unprecedentedly grand scale is obvious. The billboard is absolutely gigantic, about six stories tall. It would have been almost impossible to tag Jenner’s face using the traditional methods. One could rappel off the top of the building or use a cherry picker, but neither option is exactly safe, or subtle, or quick enough that one could do it without cops on regular patrol spotting it. With the drone, by contrast, it took less than a minute. Still, the artist admitted, “It was a bit tense.” (Needless to say, the stunt was extremely illegal).

Einen Drohnenflug um das verlassene Divine Lorraine Hotel in Philadelphia

Chris DeAntonio hat eine Drohne um das im Jahr 1999 aufgegebene Divine Lorraine Hotel in Philadelphia geflogen und mit einer Musik unterlegt, die an längst vergessene Hochzeiten des Hauses erinnern dürfte. Eine merkwürdig schöne Kombination, die aus Bild und Ton eine ambivalente Symbiose eingeht.

The Divine Lorraine Hotel, also known as the Lorraine Apartments, stands at the corner of Broad Street and Fairmount Avenue in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Designed by architect Willis G. Hale and built between 1892 and 1894, the building originally functioned as apartments, housing some of Philadelphia’s wealthy residents. Lorraine Apartments was one of the most luxurious and best preserved late 19th-century apartment houses in Philadelphia. In 1900 the building became the Lorraine Hotel when the Metropolitan Hotel Company purchased the apartments. Later it would become the first hotel in Philadelphia to be racially integrated under Father Divine.

Langzeitbelichtete Fotografien von Feuerwerk, das auf Drohnen zündet

Der Fotograf Calder Wilson hängt sich Feuerwerk an seine Drohne, lässt sie in die Luft gehen und belichtet den Prozess der Explosionen in der Luft in Langzeit. Die Ergebnisse sind farbenfroh und beeindruckend.

Mit einer Drohne in der größten Höhle der Welt: Hang Son Doong

Der Fotograf Ryan Deboodt hat eine Drohne durch die Hang Son Doong Höhle in Vietnam gelenkt, durch die größte Höhle der Welt.

Die Hang Son Doong, die Höhle von Fluss und Berg, liegt im Phong Nha Ke Bang Nationalpark in Zentralvietnam nahe der Grenze zu Laos. In ihrem Innern fließt ein Fluss, der an einigen Stellen reißend, an anderen zahm und manchmal nicht einmal zu sehen ist. Nach jeder Regenzeit bahnt er sich einen neuen Weg durch den steinernen Tunnel. Wo er schon einmal floss, bleibt Sand zurück. Die Hang Son Doong hat deshalb viele Strände. Und sie ist so gigantisch groß, dass sie ihre eigenen Wolken bildet.

Erst 2009 fanden die Männer den Eingang wieder. Howard maß sie nach und nach aus. Schnell stand fest: Was Ho Khanh da im Dschungel gefunden hatte, war die größte Höhle der Welt.

Beelitz-Heilstätten aus Sicht einer Drohne

Erstaunlich, dass da nicht vorher schon wer drauf gekommen ist. Ich zum Beispiel. René Weis hat seine DJI Phantom Vision 2+ über und durch die Beelitzer Heilstätten fliegen lassen und ein paar Aufnahmen in diesen Clip geschnitten. Es sind auch Fotos bei, die als Füllmaterial dienen. Dennoch sehenswert.

Aktuell bewegt sich neben den ohnehin regelmäßigen Film- und Videodrehs ein bisschen was in Heilstätten. Auf der Einfahrt des Hauptzugangs stehen – warum auch immer – Baucontainer und ein Teil des umliegenden Waldes wurde gerade für eine neue Straße umgelegt.
