Drohnen-Aufnahmen zeigen wie sich Lavamassen auf La Palma übers Land schieben

Der erste Vulkanausbruch auf den Kanarischen Inseln seit 50 Jahren hat die die Behörden dazu gezwungen, über 6.000 Menschen zu evakuieren und Touristen, die von dem Phänomen angezogen werden, aufzufordern, sich fernzuhalten. Bis Sonntag gab es keine Toten oder Verletzte, allerdings wohl zerstörte Existenzen. Drohnen-Aufnahmen zeigen die verheerende Macht, die Lava mit sich bringt und die einfach nichts stehen lässt.

Schafherde von oben im Zeitraffer

Der Dronenfotograf Lior Patel hat ein paar Monate damit verbracht, eine große Schafherde mit der Drone zu begleiten. Ähnliches hatte ich hier schon mal und war davon schon beeindruckt. Patel aber hat die Aufnahmen dann noch gezeitraffert, was die sich bewegenden Schafe wie Flüssigkeiten wirken lässt.

For the past seven months I have been following a large herd of sheep, from winter pasture to the movement and arrival at the summer pasture. The size of the herd ranges from 1000-1700 sheep.

Beeindruckende Drohnenaufnahmen, die die landschaftliche und städtische Vielfalt von China zeigt.

China is a vast country with a seemingly endless variety of landscapes. From the modern skylines of Shanghai and Hong Kong to the ancient city walls of Xi’an, the former capital of the ‘Middle Kingdom’. Imposing rice terraces contrast with stark desert scenery, massive coal factories rub shoulders with newly built cities.

Plattenbauten in Hong Kong aus Drohnenperspektive

Blocks in Hong Kong und Drohnenaufnahmen sind immer wieder gleichsam beeindruckend wie auch irgendwie bedrückend. So auch hier.

The population of Hong Kong is estimated at 7.50 million in 2020 It is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, and has a population density of 6790.74 people per square kilometer.

Why “Blocks“ ?
Concrete jungle – a city or urban area which has a high density of large, unattractive, modern buildings and is perceived as an unpleasant living environment. But that doesn’t apply to everyone. I moved to Hong Kong few years ago and since day one I got obsessed by these giant public housing/apartment block building structures, their patterns, colours, shapes, architecture, how massively yet easy they blend in and coexist with each other in this city. Back in Riga, Latvia (that’s where I’m from) old and grey post soviet block buildings represent big part of my identity as well, I guess that might have given me extra interest in this particular topic.
My attempt to capture the city feel, often very dystopian, moody and futuristic, at least that is how I felt.
