Nachdem das mit Coolio schon recht gut funktioniert hat, will Pornhub, die vielleicht täglich am meisten Internet-Traffic verursachende Seite überhaupt, jetzt auch mehr mit Musik machen. Die neuen Vertriebswege sind offenbar unergründlich und erschließen sich mir letztendlich nicht wirklich. Aber was weiß ich schon. Einige der jungen Musikanten wird es womöglich freuen, auch wenn $5000.00 noch weniger sind, als man bei im Falle eines „Gewinns“ bei heutigen hiesigen Casting-Formaten mitnehmen kann.
Bei FACT nennen sie diese Idee süffisant „Record Label“, worauf sie am Ende sicher nicht hinauslaufen wird.

Certainly Falty DL used the site to premiere his ‘Some Jazz Shit’ video from earlier this year, but bizarrely it didn’t feature anything untoward, apart from the groaner of a title.
Vice President Cory Price explained that while Coolio had achieved a large amount of interest in his masturbation anthem ‘Take it to the Hub’, the label were actually “looking for acts that aren’t necessarily porn-focused.” Not the word “necessarily” there, we’d guess that it would certainly be a help if they’re looking for pageviews. We can’t really see people visiting Pornhub to watch an experimental video of some CG shapes moving through space at high speed. Price does at least seem to understand this, admitting ”we’re an ad-based network looking for content that appeals to our demographic. Mature lyrics for an adult audience; no boy bands or teen-pop, for instance.”
