Kugelhäuser

Ich hatte hier, glaube ich, irgendwann mal einen Beitrag über die kugelförmigen Häuser in Den Bosch, Niederlande. Tom Scott war jetzt mal da und hat geguckt, ob da noch Menschen wohnen und wie es so ist in einer Kugel zu leben.

Dial Up Modem Sounds

Kleine akustische Zeitreise, die mich kurz nostalgisch macht. Fast schon vergessen.

The sound of dial-up at some of the most common speeds, including 300, 1200, 2400, 9600, 14,400, 33,600, and 56K. As noted in the video, the sound of a V.34 connection at either 28,800 and 33,600 will be the same, and both were common around the same time, so I’ve only included the 33,600 connection.

Speed modded tape players

Battery Operated hat sich Kassettenrekorder genommen und so modifiziert, dass man die abspielenden Bänder ganz einfach pitchen kann. Außerdem hat er Effekte eingebaut. Für jene, die auch heute noch als Kassetten-DJ unterwegs sein möchten.

● Speed control dial, to take full control of tape speed!

● Wet/Dry mix dial, for subtle adjustments and not so subtle adjustments!

● Feedback dial, add a bit of crunch/distortion or destroy the sound completely!

● Time control dial, travel back in time to 1860…oh wait no…it’s just a delay time adjustment dial!

● Open face design to allow for tape manipulation while playing (check out our wiggler tape loop)
