Really spectacular, rare film footage of Berlin more than a century ago in color. The original B&W film has been motion-stabilized, speed corrected, restored, enhanced and colorized by means of special Artificial Intelligence software.
The film shows how beautiful Berlin was before both World wars. It starts with a drive by carriage through the Friedrichstrasse, followed by the Leipziger-strasse, the statue („Denkmal“) for Kaiser Wilhelm-I, the Siegesallee, the Siegessäule with its golden angel on top, a close-up of the statues in relief on its base, a baroc fountain and old Berlin as seen from the water.

Drohnenpilot Jay Christensen, der neulich mit seinem Drohnenflug durch eine Bowlinganlage einmal komplett steil ging, ist an den Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles gefahren, um seine Drohne durch das legendäre Mel’s Drive-In zu fliegen. Wieder sehr, sehr geil.

Die Aufnahmen sind schwer beeindruckend, der dazu gewählte Sound eher „so lala“. Ich empfehle dazu „Am Wolkenberg“ (Scheiße, ads Ding ist jetzt 15 Jahre alt!). Damit werden die Shadows In TheSky von Mike Olbinski fast noch ein bisschen schöner als sie ohnehin schon sind. Weil: Wolkenberge sind halt mein akustisches Spezialgebiet.

For EX STASIS, Wu programmed a stick of 200 LED lights to shift in color and shape above the calm landscapes. He captured the mesmerizing movements in-camera, and through a combination of stills, timelapse, and real-time footage, produced four audiovisual works that juxtapose the natural scenery with the artificially produced light and electronic sounds.

Makrofilmer und Timelapser Another Perspective hat sich mal ein Ei aufgeschlagen und dann 10 Tage lang die Kamera draufgehalten, um im Zeitraffer den Kristallisationseffekt des Eis in makro zu filmen. Und das erinnert ein wenig an die von Van Gogh gemalten Bilder.
Ein KommentarIm Pata Lab haben sie einen Lautsprecher mit Ferrofluiden entwickelt, der Musik physikalisch visualisiert und der ist ganz schön dolle schön.
