Wohnmobil auf Minibasis samt Boot

Aus der Reihe „Erfindungen, die sich nicht durchgesetzt haben“: The Caraboot aus dem Jahr 1964. Ein Wohnmobil auf Minibasis, das auch ein Boot dabei hatte.

By means of a crank handle at the rear of the Mini van, the camper body moved rearwards along grooves attached to the Minivan. At a stroke, your mini was now considerably longer than when you left home – about 15ft all in and a fully fledged campervan. There was allegedly enough room to accommodate four in comfort, with four beds, a sink and stove.

The roof of the converted van itself, could be unscrewed and used as a two-man dinghy – watch to the end to see it on the water.

We’re not sure how many were converted but at a „few hundred“ pounds it sounds like a bargain! At least one still survives in the UK and was for sale a few years ago.

Mann wird auf dem Klo von einer Kobra in die Hoden gebissen

Ein 47-jähriger Niederländer wurde im Urlaub in Südafrika von einer Schnauzenkobra in den Sacxk gebissen, während er auf dem Klo saß (NSFW). Er erlitt eine „Skrotalnekrose“ und musste längerfristig behandelt werden. „In Ländern, die für ihre Schlangenpopulation berüchtigt sind, spülen Sie immer die Toilette, bevor Sie sich hinsetzen“ oder reisen sie woanders hin.

A 47-year-old man received a snouted cobra (Naja annulifera) snake bite to his genitals while on holiday in South Africa. His penis and scrotum were noted to be swollen, deep purple in color, and painful on hospital admission. Scrotal necrosis was diagnosed, and he received multiple doses of a non-specific snake venom antiserum and broad-spectrum antibiotics. Although no neurological sequelae developed, he did require hemodialysis due to acute kidney injury. After stabilizing, he was repatriated to the Netherlands for further treatment and has since made a full recovery.

Mit dem Rad einen „Bruderkuss“ auf den Straßen Berlins fahren

StravaArt hatte ich hier schon des Öfteren. Gary Cordery ist hier ein ganz besonders schönes Exemplar davon gelungen, in dem er 100 Kilometer in Berlin auf dem Rad verbracht hat, um einen sozialistischen Bruderkuss zu fahren. Ganz schön großartig.

Gary had to cycle for nearly 15 hours, covering a distance of 225km around Berlin in order to create the piece. In reality, though, the piece actually took 48 hours, 54 minutes and 32 seconds to create in lapsed (i.e. real) time.

I also spoke to Gary to ask him about just how he managed to create such an epic piece and indeed how the idea came about.

“Strava Germany found me on Google and contacted me to see if I could create an image of the iconic socialist fraternal kiss between Gorbachev and Honecker around the streets of Berlin. It was August 2019 and they needed it done by early November to coincide with the 30th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Die Infektionszahlen gehen durch die Decke, um mich herum alle möglichen Leute inklusive ganzer Schulklassen in Quarantäne, die Inzidenz am raven, im Bundestag Debatte. Karl Lauterbach hat darauf offenbar auch keinen Bock mehr.

Arte Tracks: Von Schwaben nach Atlanta – wie heute Trap-Hits entstehen

Eine schon vier Wochen alte Kurzdoku von Arte Tracks, die zeigt, wie internationale Musikproduktionen heute auch laufen. Kam heute erst dazu, das zu sehen und finde das wirklich sehr interessant.

Produzent PVLACE (Denis Berger) hat aus seinem Schlafzimmer in Heilbronn die Basis für Platin-Hits in den USA komponiert. „Loop Producer“ wie er bilden inzwischen das melodische Rückgrat der US-HipHop-Welt. Viele davon sind aus Europa.

Denis Berger alias PVLACE ist neben Cubeatz einer der ersten, die mit ihrem melodischen Talent genau den Nerv der US-Producer treffen und sie seitdem monatlich mit dutzenden Minikompositionen für riesige Hits beliefern. Sein Chef ist niemand geringeres als Southside, Gründer der 808 Mafia und Miterfinder des Trap-Sounds. Durch seine Connections kommen Bergers Melodien in die Studios von Migos, Young Thug, Suicideboys und viele andere.

Neuer isolatedmix bei ASIP, für den R.A.D.E Breaks, Drum’n’Bass-Tunes, Ambient, Bass und etwas Dubstep zusammenbringt. Und dann brutzelt auch die 303 mal durch. Akkurat gemixt. Einer dieser Mixe, wie sie viel zu selten gemacht werden. Läuft hier seit gestern in Heavy Rotation.

Neue Arbeit von Maxim Zhestkov, der dafür künstliche Organismen wabern, schimmern und pulsieren lässt.

We are a product of biological evolution that started its own evolutionary process in the virtual space. Isolated from human control by design, digital intelligence defines its further evolution by itself, slowly growing into an independent subject that will eventually redefine our physical and virtual realities.

Detached from biological, it is a digital-born inhabitant of the metaverse. Will it manifest itself in any three-dimensional shape or will it outgrow our form-oriented reality?

For centuries to come, Artificial Organisms, unfamiliar creatures of the new world, will exist in the digital universes, exploring and building them without our guidance. Perceiving these creatures from our point of view, we can only imagine how they will look, projecting our outdated beliefs onto the unknown future, where might no longer be a place for us.
