Ryan von ASIP hat sich mit DJ Todos zusammengetan und aus jeder Menge Trance-Klassikern Loops gefeilt, die sie dann zu diesem ambienten Mix wieder zusammengelötet haben – und das funktioniert in der Tat hypnotisierend und außergewöhnlich gut. Geiles Konzept mit Rückblick auf die goldenen Jahre des später doch verschmähten Trance. Aber Marmions „Schöneberg“ hätten sie schon noch mit reinnehmen können.

Love it or hate it, I embrace classic Trance music for its brilliance of the time, and the impact it had on me (and indeed electronic music) growing up. I’ve mentioned before how the chill-out side of Trance music was one of the many avenues to open me up to more electronic ambient music.
