Wenn die eher unbeachteten Möbel und Alltagsgegenstände im Haus zum Klassenkampf aufbegehren. Oder so.

“The Revolt” von Six N. Five.

Objects that inhabit every house, purely functional or that simply clash with the aesthetic pretension of the environment. Used and left aside, hidden, concealed, disguised, made invisible, as if they were shameful. These are the ones who break into the aseptic landscape and take it by storm. A blow worthy of a class struggle, where a useful minority rebels against pretension and sets out to tear down its symbols.

Einen Schneemann durch den Sommer bringen

Sehr einfache Idee, eigentlich. Man muss halt nur drauf kommen und das dann so auch wollen.

Der „Schneemann“ des Schweizer Künstlerduos Fischli/Weiss steht seit November im Museumspark der Fondation Beyeler in Basel. Er entfaltet seine volle Wirkung im Frühling und Sommer, bleibt aber das ganze Jahr über installiert. Ursprünglich entstand die Arbeit 1989/90 und hat bis heute nichts von ihrer Coolness verloren.

Ein Kreis aus Lichtstrahlen als kinetische Installation: Flux

Das Scale Collective hat für das französische Metz Festival
diese wunderschöne, kinetische und interaktive Installation aus Lichtstrahlen mit dem Namen Flux
gebaut. Wow.

„Flux is made up of 48 dynamic light lines 1.5 m long, 40 cm apart, motorized and controlled in real time. The formal multiplication of these lines coupled with micro variations of phases, time delays, speeds and amplitudes allows us to sculpt an object 20m long, alive and evolving with a cyclical back and forth movement.
„Entirely interactive Flux is an installation to contemplate and experience. The public is in control of movements, light and sound with a simple and intuitive interface.“

Paar malt in einer Galerie versehentlich über ein $500.000 Kunstwerk

JonOne, ein Graffiti-Künstler aus New York, hat eine seiner Arbeiten in einer Galerie in einem Einkaufszentrum in Südkorea ausgestellt. Irgendwie waren wohl Pinsel und Farben Tweil seines Werks und lagen bzw. standen bei dem Bild. Ein vorbeikommendes Pärchen dachte deshalb wohl, es handle sich um ein partizipatives Kunstobjekt, griff zu den Pinseln und übermalte das 500.000 Dollar teure Bild. Hooopsie.

After staff spotted fresh brushstrokes CCTV footage identified the accidental vandals, a man and woman in their 20s.

The untitled piece is estimated to be worth about $500,000 (£360,000).

It was painted by US graffiti artist JonOne in front of an audience in Seoul in 2016.

It has since been displayed at various venues, along with the paint and brushes used in the live performance – which are regarded as integral parts of the artwork.

Mural einer aufgerissenen Museumsfassade an einer Museumsfassade

Der französische zeitgenössische Künstler JR hat an der Fassade des Palazzo Strozzi in Florenz eine 28 Meter hohe und 33 Meter breite Fotocollage angebracht, die eine Zeichnung der aufgerissenen Fassade zeigt. Ein „offenes“ Museum in Zeiten der Schließungen. Oder so.

They say the museums are closed. But it’s up to us to open them. Here is Florence, the city of Boticelli, Donatello, Machiavel and Dante, we opened the Palazzo Strozzi. These last few months, we have been deprived from the possibility to be together … but we still the freedom to dream, to create, to envision the future. Maybe, it’s not much, but we have that!
