Bubble Universe is eine interaktive Installation von teamLab, von denen ich hier neulich schon mal was hatte.
Inside the spheres, countless lights converge; material lights that exist in the physical space, large and strong light like a soap bubble, huge, weak light that wobbles like a mass of jelly, and light that emerges from the surrounding environment. There are lights that move continuously inside the spheres, and lights that do not move at all.
The light in each sphere cannot produce all the light by itself; other spheres act as an environment that creates countless lights within each sphere. Each sphere becomes part of the environment that generates the light of the other spheres, and the phenomenon created by the environment is the existence of the work.

Das in Tokio ansässige internationale Kunstkollektiv teamLab hat in Hong Kong eine bunt leuchtende, interaktive Installation aus jeder Menge Rieseneiern aufgebaut. Sehr hübsch.
Extending from land to sea, each glowing ovoid responds to touch and movement. When pushed over by wind, waves, or human force, the resilient forms rise and change colors, triggering a chain reaction with neighboring sculptures and alluding to how humans and nature are affected by their environments. This is especially evident in the bobbing structures partially submerged in the sea, which are constantly shifted by the marine conditions. Together, each distinct component creates an illuminating conversation between viewers, their surroundings, and the physicality of the work itself.

Der mexikanische Künstler Chavis Mármol hat sich einen Tesla besorgt, um auf diesem einen 9 Tonnen schweren olmekischer Kolossalkopf aus Basalt abzustellen, was dem Tesla nicht ganz so gut bekommt. Er versteht seine Installation als Kapitalismuskritik, die in Mexiko-Stadt zu sehen ist.
Ein KommentarMármol says, “The head is glorified before a technological object that in the end is just a product of a capitalist system.”
„Dew Point“ ist eine Skulptur von Lily Clark bei der Wassertropfen scheinbar aus dem Nichts erscheinen und auf einer Oberfläche aus superhydrophober Keramik perlen.

Die spanische Polizei hat in Katalonien einen Ring von Kunstfälschern hochgenommen, die gefälschte Banksy-Kunstwerke vertrieben haben. Offenbar wurden sie für bis zu 1.500 Euro international verkauft. Bei diesem niedrigen Preis könnte man meinen, dass Käufer misstrauisch geworden wären, was offenbar ausblieb. Sie schufen die Werke mit Sprühfarbe und Schablonen auf Karton.

Sander Hagelaar hat mit seiner Installation „Fluid Current“ ein Gebilde geschaffen, auf dem Wassertropfen für energetischen Fluß sorgen und so kleine Leuchten zum glühen bringen.
The artist and designer explores his practice of challenging conventional notions and reimagining materials, harnessing here elements and movements encompassed within the natural world. With Fluid Current, water, typically considered incompatible with electricity, becomes an integral part of the electric circuit as droplets fall along polished aluminum strips before activating a luminous blue bulb upon impact.

Während meiner ersten Ausbildung kam ich mal in die Gelegenheit mit Blattgold zu arbeiten. Eine sehr fummelige Angelegenheit, für die es einiges an Routine bedarf. Von der hat der Restaurator Fabrizio Vitali
offensichtlich jede Menge und ihm bei seinem Schaffen zuzusehen wirkt zumindest auf mich durchaus meditativ.

Camiidae kam beim Zeichnen von Käfern auf die Idee, dass es ja ganz schön wäre, wenn sie zu den Zeichnungen Musik für die jeweiligen Käfer machen würde und hat dann ein Album geschaffen, auf dem verschiedenen Käferarten jeweils ein Song gewidmet wurde. Und mit dem Wissen darum kann man das auch als Mensch nicht schlecht finden.
i’ts been an awesome project to work on, and the first one i did of this kind (my first album). it started with me messing around, after finally having some free time. i was drawing bugs because i love them, and then i thought “hey it would be nice to add some music”. i didn’t have any kind of long term project in mind with this, but when i finished with that early tortoise beetle i was like “this is nice, i could make more”, and that’s what i did.
at first i wasn’t very clear about the sound idea and i just did what the bug inspired me to do, but as i kept composing it started to sound more cohesive, like there was a unique style for this.
i was actually scared about that when i decided to make an album, i thought it would sound like many unrelated things mashed together. but to my surprise it didn’t and other people told me the same thing, so yeah that’s cool.

Artur Weber hat mit Inner Waves eine interaktive Kunstinstallation geschaffen, die Wasser beim Interagieren zu Musik und Licht macht. Das Ding dürfte auf allen Chill Floors der Festivals im Sommer ein echter Selbstläufer sein.
