Ich finde den Clip ja irgendwie auch ein kleines bisschen dystopisch, aber so könnte die Zukunft wohl aussehen.

Digit is strong enough to pick up and stack boxes weighing up to 40 lb (18 kg), as well as durable enough to catch itself during a fall using its arms to decelerate. In addition to the physical changes, the control system for Digit has been overhauled to enable advanced behaviors such as stair climbing and footstep planning, all controlled through a robust API that can be accessed both onboard the robot and via a wireless link. …out-of-the-box, Digit will be up and walking within five minutes, even for users who are not legged-locomotion control researchers.

Ein Rudel Boston Dynamics Roboter zieht einen LKW

Neues von Boston Robotics: deren Spot zieht im Rudel jetzt auch schon mal einen ausgewachsenen LKW.

It only takes 10 Spotpower (SP) to haul a truck across the Boston Dynamics parking lot (~1 degree uphill, truck in neutral). These Spot robots are coming off the production line now and will be available for a range of applications soon.

Zwischen diesen beiden Robotern liegen 10 Jahre

Zwei Roboter von Boston Dynamics und 10 Jahre der Entwicklung dazwischen. Ich habe keine Ahnung, was da in den nächsten 10 Jahren passieren wird. Aber es dürfte wie so oft bei diesem Thema gleichsam beeindruckend wie beängstigend sein.

Nybble ist eine Roboterkatze auf Open-Source-Basis, die sich ein jeder selber zusammenbauen und programmieren kann. So gibt es das Lernen und Verstehen von Programmierung und Robotik in einem Paket.

The cat is the brainchild of RongzhongLi of Petoi, who built the feline robot on an open source platform that runs on an Arduino micro-controller, and funded the project on Indiegogo. A wooden puzzle forms the cat’s basic frame, while a small computer imbedded in its torso directs its movements.
