Herrlich abwechslungsreiche Mixtur, die Pole da für Bleep angerichtet hat. Guter Homeofficesoundtrack, der aber auch außerhalb davon sehr gut funktioniert und alles ist – aber nicht aufgeregt.
Pole’s Stefan Betke journeys through dub-techno, ambient and an array of spiritual music styles on his wide-ranging Bleep mix. Those aforementioned genres have always been a clear influence on Pole’s deep, weighty electronic compositions, and as such it’s no surprise to find several Pole originals among the track listing here – indeed, Betke sets the tone by beginning with Pole’s grainy ambient-techno track ‘Modul’. With these Pole productions anchoring the blends we are then free to journey off into passages of mind-expanding spirituality – for instance in the mid-section, which features tracks from Lou Reed/John Cale and Sun Ra, or the contemplative roots reggae tunes which are included in the mix’s home straight.
