Spaghetti-Ernte in Ticino

The spaghetti tree hoax is a famous 3-minute hoax report broadcast on April Fools‘ Day 1957 by the BBC current affairs programme Panorama. It told a tale of a family in southern Switzerland harvesting spaghetti from the fictitious spaghetti tree, broadcast at a time when this Italian dish was not widely eaten in the UK and some Britons were unaware that spaghetti is a pasta made from wheat flour and water. Hundreds of viewers phoned into the BBC, either to say the story was not true, or wondering about it, with some even asking how to grow their own spaghetti trees. Decades later CNN called this broadcast „the biggest hoax that any reputable news establishment ever pulled.“

Nächste Station der Mond: Countdown für den Start von Artemis II hat begonnen

Der Countdown für den Start von Artemis II läuft. Die Mission wird sich weiter von der Erde entfernen als jedes andere bemannte Raumschiff seit Apollo 17 im Jahr 1972. Die Artemis-Besatzung befindet sich seit dem März in Quarantäne und bereitet sich auf den morgigen Start und die zehntägige Reise zum Mond und zurück vor. Ziel der auf etwa zehn Tage angelegten Mission ist es, um den Mond herumzufliegen, um so eine künftige Mondlandung vorzubereiten.

Der Start ist für heute Nacht um 00:24 Uhr geplant und wird von der NASA ab 18:50 Uhr im Live-Stream übertragen.

This live feed from our Kennedy Space Center in Florida will provide continuous views of the Artemis II Moon rocket beginning on Thursday, March 19, with rollout from the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Pad 39B.
