Herdenschutzhunde sind dafür gezüchtet, Wölfe, Bären und Beutegreifer in die Flucht zu schlagen, sind also auf Security spezialisiert. Hütehunde sind sozusagen Mitarbeiter im Tagewerk des Hirten; sie sind also selbst eine Art Hirte.
