Polly Verity is a „paper sculptor“ from Wales who has enchanted her followers with her remarkable ability to create intricate, three-dimensional works of art using mainly plain, white paper.

In der belgischen Gemeinde Dendermonde geht man davon aus, dass farbenfrohe Straßen und kuratierte Straßenkunst die Stadt schöner, lebenswerter und für Touristen attraktiver macht. Deshalb hat man den Grafikdesigner Hans de Backer gebeten, aus einem Basketballplatz der Größe von 364 m² mit 150 Litern Farbe einen Hypechord zu machen, der mit „9200“ die Postleitzahl der Gemeinde zeigt. Auf dass Google-Satelliten das irgendwann einfangen und in die Welt tragen werden.

Keine Ahnung, ob das tatsächlich Lego-, irgendwelche anderen Klemmbausteine oder gar nur digitale Arbeiten sind, aber Adnan Lotia kreiert ikonische Plattencover in Lego-Optik nach und da mag ich nicht nur die Idee, sondern auch die Ergebnisse.

Der Künstler und Ingenieur JBV hat mit dem Flingbot einen Roboter entwickelt, der Farbe schleudert und so immer individuelle Kunstwerke schafft. Das ist eine ganz schöne Sauerei, aber ein herrlich farbenfrohe.
The next parameters are the starting and ending fling angles. Randomly chosen by the code, the trajectory and point it hits the canvas is variable creating another factor of uniqueness. This is all controlled by a servo under the base of the catapult, which also happens to be the motor that allows Flingbot to position itself under the paint reservoirs.
All in all, accounting for all the different parameters, there are almost 3 trillion paintings that Flingbot can make. The number is likely even higher than this because there are even more variables to consider that are out of Flingbots control. These include the consistency of the paint, the angle of the canvas, the temperature in the room…the list goes on. It’s safe to say that each one of Flingbot’s painting is truly one of a kind.

Brent Artman ist ein in Colorado lebender Künstler, der für sich Kupfer im Zusammenhang mit Flammen entdeckt hat und aus dieser Kombination heraus bunte Wanduhren herstellt. Nice.

He uses reduction flame to remove oxidation from the piece and create line work on the copper. Once he has his pattern mapped out, he can start to change the color of the design with the fire. Once the piece is complete, he seals it with a clear coat so the colors don’t continue to oxidize.
