Habe ich so auch noch nicht gesehen: ein Schwarm von Vögeln strapaziert eine Freileitung so sehr, dass die am Ende quasi den Grill anschmeißt.

Der Fotograf James Crombie und Colin Hogg haben einen Schwarm von Staren dabei aufgezeichnet, wie dieser das Abbild eines Vogels in den Himmel gezeichnet hat. Und damit dürfte das Murmuration-Ding durchgespielt sein.

Von diesen Murmurationsvideos gibt es jeden Menge und sie sind im Regelfall ohnehin schon meistens beeindruckend. Der Fotograf Xai Bou hat einen Schwarm non Staren dabei aufgezeichnet, wie dieser einem Falken ausweicht, was ein Schwarmverhalten noch mal in einer ganz anderen Dynamik zeigt. Das Besondere an seinem Video: er hat es zeitrafferartig aus mehreren Einzelbildern zusammengesetzt.

Ein KommentarUnd es sieht aus, als hätte der Rabe da irgendeinen Klärungsbedarf, den die Eule offenbar nicht teilt. Sehe mich da doch mehr in der Rolle der Eule als mir lieb sein sollte.
Einen Kommentar hinterlassenIm Montreal Museum of Fine Arts hat man im Jahr 2015 eine Gitarreninstallation aufgebaut, die 70 Zebrafinken dazu animieren wollte, auf E- und Bassgitarren Sound zu machen – und das hat geklappt. Ich mag diese Idee sehr.
A living musical exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts will set 70 zebra finches loose in an aviary, and the only perches are the strings of 14 electric guitars and bass guitars.
When the birds land, they create music that’s played through amplifiers stationed around the aviary.
French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot calls it living music, inspired by a memory from his childhood.
„Looking through the window, my feeling was that I want to make music from these birds on the wire, and 30 years later I did this,“ he said.

I got the chance to get up close and personal with some cool birds of prey from the Raptor Program at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center in Milwaukee, WI! Animals in order of appearance: Bald Eagle, Eastern Screech Owl, American Kestrel, Great Horned Owl, Turkey Vulture.
