Ich hatte hier vor zwei Jahren schon mal ein ähnliches Video, aber Korallen in Makro und Zeitraffer gehen immer. Der Farben wegen, die es so konzentriert und individuell woanders in der Tierwelt kaum gibt. Da müssen dann schon Pflanzen ran.

Der Macro Room zählt gerade zu meinen Lieblingschannels auf YouTube. Da gibt es alles immer schön bunt und immer in makro. Heute: irgendwelches Plastikgedöns mit einem Gasbrenner zum Schmelzen bringen und ganz nahe draufhalten. Ästhetik des Zerfalls.

2 Kommentare Weil wir heute schon Mücken hatten und sie uns wahrscheinlich auch draußen in den nächsten Wochen häufiger begegnen werden, hier ein beeindruckendes Video, das zeigt, was passiert, wenn Mücken an unser Blut wollen.
Die Weibchen müssen nach der Befruchtung durch die Männchen eine Blutmahlzeit zu sich nehmen, um Eier zu bilden; die Aufnahme von Blut und dem darin enthaltenen Protein ist somit unentbehrlich für die Fortpflanzung der meisten Stechmücken. Die Blutmahlzeit wird mit Hilfe eines Stechrüssels aufgenommen. Dabei bilden verschiedene Mundwerkzeuge eine Struktur aus Stechborsten (Oberlippe oder Labrum, paarige Ober- und Unterkiefer oder Mandibel und Maxille sowie Schlundrohr oder Hypopharynx). Dieses Stechborstenbündel kann die Haut des Wirts durchdringen und bildet im Inneren zwei Kanäle. Durch den einen kann Speichel injiziert, durch den anderen das Blut aufgesaugt werden. In der Ruhestellung liegen die Stechborsten in einer von der Unterlippe Labium gebildeten Scheide verborgen. Beim Stich dringt die Unterlippe selbst nicht in die Haut ein, sondern wird gestaucht und biegt sich nach hinten.

Levon Biss fotografiert gerne Insekten. Kein einfacher Job, sind die Tierchen doch eher sehr klein, um sie ordentlich in Szene gesetzt zu bekommen. Biss hat dafür eine Arbeitsweise entwickelt, über die er hier kurz berichtet. Die Plakate der Insekten in der Größe sind fantastisch.

Elaine Strutz hat die Köpfe verschiedenster Insekten auf Augenhöhe, oder besser Augennähe gebracht. Es ist faszinierend, wie komplex die Köpfe mancher Insekten aussehen, wenn man denn mal ganz nahe rangeht.
