Ein Video, das mit einem 100 Jahre alten Objektiv auf einer aktuellen Kamera gemacht wurde

Mathieu Stern ist Kurator des Weird Lenses Museum und hatte die tolle Idee, ein 100 Jahre altes Kameraobjektiv, das schon im ersten Weltkrieg genutzt wurde, auf eine aktuelle Kamera zu adaptieren, um damit Aufnahmen in Wien zu machen. Und das sieht ganz schön charmant aus.

This lens spent 100 years in the dark, the last think it captured must have been the horrors of the World War I … i think it was time to use it for something more light and positive. I took this Kodak Vest Pocket camera lens with me for a short trip to Vienna (Austria) to shoot some test footage. I must say i was pretty amazed by the sharpness and the quality of the image i saw on my screen.

Die Entwicklung eines Tornados auf einem Bild

Fantastische Fotografie von Jason Weingart.

In this amazing photomontage we get to see the evolution of a tornado that formed north of Minneola, Kansas on May 24, 2016. The photo is a composite of eight images shot in two sequences. According to photographer Jason Weingart, this prolific supercell went on to produce at least 12 tornadoes and at times had two and even three tornadoes on the ground at once.

This image was most recently awarded first place in the Wikimedia Commons 2018 Picture of the Year. The image was also a Jury’s Choice award winner in the 2017 Wiki Science Competition in the United States.

Sich formende Salzkristalle in Timelapse

Sehr schöne Makro- und Timelapseaufnahmen, die Wenting Zhu und Yan Liang über Monate hinweg von sich formenden Salzkristallen gemacht haben. Hier auch in Form von einigen Fotografien.

„THE ARCTIC began in October 2018 and lasted for about seven months. It records the crystallization processes of different salts. During this period, we explored various forms of the crystals and their wonderful growth patterns. Most of the footage was captured by time-lapse photography. The tile of this film comes from the icy sensation of the Arctic. We hope this film can remind viewers the stunning beauty of the ice world and the importance of protecting our planet.“

Creative Commons veröffentlicht neue Suchmaschine für Bilder

Creative Commons bietet mit CC Search jetzt 300 Millionen nutzbare Bilder aus verschiedenen Datenbanken an. Das soll die Suche nach frei verwendbaren Bildern unkomplizierter machen.

T3n:

Statt euch einzeln durch Datenbanken wie Google oder Flickr zu klicken, könnt ihr frei verwendbare Bilder auch direkt über die Creative Commons-Homepage finden. Die neue Suchmaschine CC Search bündelt Bilder aus Archiven von 19 verschiedenen Anbietern, wie die Nonprofit-Organisation Creative Commons in einem Blogeintrag mitteilt. Nach zwei Jahren hat die Suchmaschine die Testphase verlassen.

Da kann man schon mal klatschen und Danke sagen.
