Etwas verspätet, aber noch ist das Jahr jung genug, um es „new“ zu nennen. Und so spielt sich Phone durch allerhand kleine Melodien, die meistens oder immer melancholischer Natur sind. Winterlich, introvertiert, wärmend. So, wie ich es gerade jetzt gerne hab.

Cartoonisten gegen den Irrsinn

Mir kamen heute jede Menge Cartoons unter, mit denen Cartoonisten aus aller Welt ihren ganz eigenen Umgang mit dem zu finden versuchen, was heute in Paris und in den Räumen von Charlie Hebdo geschehen ist, wo einige Kollegen von ihnen vermeintlich für das, was Cartoonisten nun mal so tun, umgebracht wurden. Ich dachte kurz darüber nach, diese zu sammeln, war dann aber unterwegs. Jetzt sehe ich, dass René das schon und sehr umfangreich umgesetzt hat, wobei er diese Sammlung ständig aktualisieren wird: Cartoonists react to Charlie Hebdo-Killings.

Flight Facilities – Two Bodies (Robag Wruhme’s Endara Wassby Remix)

Mixmag sorgt gerade für den Stream dieses Remixes, den Robag Wruhme für Flight Facilities‘ „Two Bodies“ gemacht hat. Schönes Ding, wie eigentlich immer, wenn Wruhme etwas aus seinem Studio in die Welt entlässt.

Last year the hotly-anticpated debut album ‚Down To Earth‘ by Flight Facilities was released and the Australian duo are soaring at dizzying heights that they’ve not reached before.

To support the album, the pair ventured on a month-long world tour that saw them fly to London, Sydney, LA, New York and Dublin and now they’re back with some hefty remixes of the stand-out tracks.

‚Two Bodies‘ features the vocal talents of Emma Louise and has been transformed by German king of weird and wonderful techno, Robag Wruhme. His ‚Endera Wassaby‘ remix is a frankly beautiful composition and follows Robag’s winning formula.

He slices and dices the track and adds a whole new level of depth by combining utterly serene synths with abrasive yet magical tones. It’s a hard one to describe so listen below and fully immerse yourself in Robag’s intelligent vision, you won’t be disappointed.
