Wenn so ein Mashup bisher ganz unberührte Ebenen besteigt. Und wie es passt. Offenbar besser als der Macher angenommen hatte. Das Dingen zieht seit gestern so richtig seine viralen Kreise. Der für dieses Mashup verantwortliche LOTI schreibt dazu:

There’s no denying it. This is just a shitpost that spiraled out of control. I made it in 30 minutes and posted it to have a laugh with my friends. It’s not meant to offend, but for laughter. The original video for TIA caused a great conversation, and still is. But most of the energy surrounding it is negative. I wasn’t purposefully to be ignorant to the climate we’re in, but i think the fact that so many people of all races are enjoying this is something to look at.

Kind 2 ist hier im Haushalt seit gut zwei Jahren dabei, Schleim zu produzieren. Das hatte sie auf YouTube gesehen. Ihr Zimmer sah in der Zeit mitunter aus wie das Chemielabor einer Oberschule – und roch auch so. Wir haben dafür, das Kind soll sich ja entfalten, mitunter literweise Klebstoff aus den USA bestellt. Außerdem Lebensmittelfarbe, Kombilösungen, irgendwelche Masken mit so Zeug und wasweißichnichtnochalles. Und dann wurde geschleimt. Immer. Dann kam das Zeug in irgendwelche Tupperdosen und – naja – stand da dann halt mitunter für ein paar Wochen so rum und experimentierte chemisch mit sich selber. Fragt nicht! Man hat es nicht immer einfach als Eltern… (Warum ist der gängige Singular dafür eigentlich nicht „Elt“?!)
Jedenfalls hat Kind 2 (natürlich) auch einen YouTube-Account und füllt den aktuell unter anderem mit ihren Schleimmachvideos. Vor ein paar Tagen wurde die Frau des Hauses dazu verdonnert, in einem dieser Videos Schleim zu machen – und ab da war es eigentlich nur eine Frage der Zeit, wann ich denn auch fällig werden würde. Bis gestern konnte ich mich irgendwie davor drücken, aber dann war nichts mehr zu machen. Ich musste ran und schwarzen Schleim machen. Was tut man nicht alles für Kinder. Und so.
Ich mag mich nach wie vor nicht sonderlich gerne vor einer Kamera, aber was willste machen. Was muss, das muss eben.
Ansonsten hin da, Daumen hoch und abonnieren. Schreibt man wohl so, wurde mir gesagt. Schnitt, Gestaltung und alles, was mit dem Video an sich zu tun hat, geht auf ihre Kappe. Vielleicht sollte ich ihr dann mal eine HD-Cam, ein Mikro und einen ordentlichen Rechner besorgen. Das Kind soll sich ja entfalten.
9 KommentareIch liebe das, was Vince Watson macht, schon länger und hab immer wieder mal was von ihm in meinen Mixen. Vor 14 Tagen hat er sein nun schon neuntes Studioalbum veröffentlicht und ich höre es hier seitdem in Dauerschleife. So wunderbar emotional und sommerlich kann Techno sein. Ein Album, das durchweg dazu einlädt, barfuß auf saftigen Wiesen in der Sonne zu tanzen. Zu leben, zu lachen und zu lieben.
Für mich das Album des Sommers 2018 und schon jetzt eine der Platten des Jahres. Schlichtweg wundervoll. Hier zum digitalen Download bei Bandcamp oder halt beim Plattenhändler eures Vertrauens.

Via’s story began on the road. The concept came through Vince’s touring between gigs by car and train in mainland Europe. He wanted a driving, deep, musical sound palette to immerse himself in between gigs and could not find any current appropriate techno album he wanted to listen to.
So he did the next best thing…he created one.
The album reflects the relentless movement from one gig to the next, giving insight into the artists mind whilst cooling off from one show and seeking adrenalin for the next.
Over 12 tracks, ‚Via‘ brings that signature deep sound that VW fans have loved since Mystical Rhythm first appeared in 1999.
‚Via‘ is also the first in many new projects this year from Vince Watson. 2018 see’s Vince reserve his current house and techno production for his own name, however his other musical output (Electronica, Piano, Ambient, Jazzy) will be broken up into several different artists names in order to focus more in each genre.

Letzte Nacht kam es in der georgischen Hauptstadt Tbilissi zu Polizeirazzien im Club Bassiani und im Café Gallery. Grund dafür sind wohl mehrere Menschen, die in den letzten Wochen aufgrund einer bisher unbekannten Subtanz zu Tode kamen. Mit Maschinengewehren ausgestattete Polizisten in schwerer Einsatzmontur stürmten die Läden und verhafteten Personen, die mit Drogen gehandelt haben sollen. Es kam zu spontanen Auseinandersetzungen zwischen Polizei und Protestierenden, die der Clubszene zugerechnet werden. In diesem Zuge wurden etwa 60 Menschen festgenommen.
We just woke up to very disturbing news: the Georgian police have raided BASSIANI and CAFE-GALLERY under the pretense of action against drug crime, and arrested amongst others multiple of our friends, amongst them the founders of Bassiani, Zviad Gelbakhiani and Tato Getia.
Both venues have hosted our first Boiler Room broadcasts from Georgia last year and are two of the most exceptional community spaces for music we have ever visited world-wide. They are not only places of entertainment, but important and bright spots of free expression, societal development and social changes. They are also important safe space for queer youth in the region – many who had to flee the violent prosecution of gays in Checheny found refugee in the club community of Tblisi.
This happened under use of excessive force against workers and guests of both clubs. The police has also attacked protestors on the streets who gathered spontaneously to protest this politically motivated action.
At the moment it is known that up to 60 people got detained, but the real number is supposed to be signficantly higher.
FYI: Georgian law punishes rape with six years of prison, the possesion of a small amount of soft drugs like marijuana with up to 14 years. No distinction is made between possession of drugs for personal use and for trafficking.
This is absolutely unacceptable; the clubs are being used as political instruments for a worrisome campaign against the principles of our community – tolerance, diversity and freedom of expression.
We fully support our friends and the community in Georgia and condemn this shameful act by the Georgian government against all the ideas and values that unite millions of music fans world-wide!

Es scheint ganz offenbar um Repressionen gegen die georgische Clubszene zu gehen, der – wie auch schon früher woanders – eine explizite Mitschuld an gängiger Drogenkriminalität und einer sich daraus angenommenen Subversion gegeben werden soll. So wie schon beim Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 in UK.
Heute Nachmittag protestierten tausende Menschen tanzend und mit Bengalos vor dem georgischen Parlament in Tbilissi gegen diese Repressionen der Regierung. Man forderte dort den Rücktritt des Premiers Giorgi Kvirikashvili und des Innenministers Giorgi Gakharia.

Bei einer Parade in Disneyland ist es gestern zu einem Brand gekommen. Einem Maleficent-Drachen, der eigentlich nur ein wenig Feuer spucken sollte, brannte dann wortwörtlich der Hut. Dazu gab es Orchestermusik und filmendes Publikum. Wie aus einem Drehbuch. Es wurde niemand verletzt, das Feuer konnte schnell gelöscht werden.
