In Montana leben Grizzlybären, die jede Menge Haushaltsgegenstände auf ihr Haltbarkeit testen. Wenn die Bären nicht in der Lage sind, in einer Stunde in eine Kühlbox oder einen Mülleimer einzubrechen, erhalten diese ein Grizzly-Gütesiegel.

Never mind that they’re 600-pound grizzly bears. When bears become habituated to human food, they are often considered dangerous and are either killed or put into captivity. So to keep both bears and people safe, the Bear and Wolf Discovery Center in Montana uses large grizzlies to test bear-resistant products. If the bears are unable to break into a cooler or trashcan in one hour, they get the grizzly seal of approval. If not, the bears get a much deserved lunch break.

„An injured black bear sow and her 2 cubs stole an Amazon package off our porch in the middle of the night. The mother bear is known in our area and a neighbor thinks she has been injured and traveling on 3 legs for several years. The stolen amazon package contained Blue Buffalo brand dog food, Milk-Bone brand dog treats, and banana chocolate chip Lara bars. The package was delivered by FedEx. I found remains of the package 2 days later in the woods near my house. All the dog food and treats were eaten. About 5-10 lara bars had been opened and eaten, but the rest remained uneaten.“

I told you Susan brushes the bears, but many of you expressed disbelief, and rightly so of course – so I asked Susan to film herself brushing one of the bears.
