Filmemacher Jonas Høholt hat drei Jahre damit verbracht, dieses wirklich beeindruckende Timelapse-Video zu machen, das den Wandel der Jahreszeiten auf der dänischen Halbinsel Jütland zeigt. Lange nicht mehr ein so ein schönes Zeitraffer von Mutter Erde hier im Blog gehabt.

‚Breath of the Seasons’‘ has been my personal project from early 2017 until early 2020.
Living around the Jutland peninsula in Denmark my entire life, what inspired me to make this film was the very difference between winter, spring, summer and autumn in the already diverse Jutlandic landscapes – and the visually beautiful story this has.
To show this cycle in nature through timelapse photography has been a mammoth task and a huge completion for me personally. It has driven me through all spectres emotionally; exhaustion, excitement, despair, joy and everything in between.
The countless hours spent on locations made me see and feel the difference of all four seasons. It opened my eyes to how similar nature actually is to humans; As nature takes a single breath all four seasons play before our eyes until she’s ready for the next breath and it all starts over again.
Energy is everywhere and nothing is at a standstill.

Sich formende Salzkristalle in Timelapse

Sehr schöne Makro- und Timelapseaufnahmen, die Wenting Zhu und Yan Liang über Monate hinweg von sich formenden Salzkristallen gemacht haben. Hier auch in Form von einigen Fotografien.

„THE ARCTIC began in October 2018 and lasted for about seven months. It records the crystallization processes of different salts. During this period, we explored various forms of the crystals and their wonderful growth patterns. Most of the footage was captured by time-lapse photography. The tile of this film comes from the icy sensation of the Arctic. We hope this film can remind viewers the stunning beauty of the ice world and the importance of protecting our planet.“

Liberty – New York City Timelapse 4K

Wer die Schnauze voll von Timelapse-Videos aus New York hat; weiterklicken, es gibt hier nichts zu sehen. Ich bin derer bisher nicht müde und noch immer wieder gern von dieser Stadt geflasht.

I vividly remember my first experience of New York City as a kid, before I became a photographer. The shear sense of scale, the incredible architecture and just the over all feeling I got walking around the city. That experience became one of the reasons I got into photography. Ever since then, it has been my dream to recreate that feeling into a short timelapse film. From the sensory overload of standing on a busy New York street corner. To the tranquility of standing on a skyscraper, like being on top of the world. This is a dedication to my favorite city in the world.

„Liberty“ Is a visual journey through New York City captured through timelapse and hyperlapse photography. The video consists of about 15,000 still photographs captured from 2016-2018.

Tilt-Shift aus Nordkorea: Peculiar Pyongyang

Tilt-Shift-Videos gibt es mittlerweile etliche. Viele von denen überraschen nur noch wenig. Hier eins aus der nordkoreanischen Hauptstadt, das alleine deshalb sehenswert ist, weil es eben eher selten Aufnahmen aus Nordkorea gibt.

Pyongyang is by far the weirdest and strangest place I have ever been to. At the same time it’s also one of the the most interesting and intriguing places and unlike anywere else I have ever been to. You go there with 100 questions and you return with 1000!

Start des Sojus Raumschiffs in Timelapse Aussicht der ISS

Ähnliches hatte ich neulich schon mal, hier jetzt der Start des Sojus Raumschiffs von etwas näher und besserer Qualität.

Timelapse eines Sandsturms über Australien

„Apokalyptisch“ trifft es recht gut.

November 6, 2018 / Packsaddle, New South Wales, Australia:

„The storm hit and was quite daunting. At first, we thought it was the rain we were expecting because as it was approaching, it was this beautiful blue front coming in. It wasn’t until it got closer, that we realized it was a huge dust storm. By this stage, there weren’t heaps that we could do apart from standing inside with the kids and watching it roll through! It was quite a surreal experience.“

Hurrikan Florence zerfleddert USA-Flagge an einem Tag

Ich hatte hier gestern am Rande einen Live-Stream laufen, für den Explore eine Kamera vor der Küste North Carolinas aufgestellt hat. Sie filmt auf den Atlantik und hat eine USA-Flagge im Fokus. Was man sehen konnte war in erster Linie, dass es ziemlich windig war. Aktuell ist dort Nacht, weshalb es nichts zu sehen gibt. Was von gestern blieb ist dieses Zeitraffervideo, das zeigt, was der Wind an nur einem Tag mit der USA-Flagge gemacht hat. Da braucht es offenbar eine neue.
