Die längste begehbare Wegstrecke der Erde

Joseph Pisenti bietet hier einen „kurzen Überblick“ über die längste Strecke, die man auf der Erde zwischen zwei Punkten zu Fuß zurücklegen könnte. Dafür müssten geneigte Wandernde in L’Agulhas, Südafrika, starten und bis Magadan in Russland laufen. Das sind über 20.000 Kilometer. Es würde wohl drei Jahre dauern, die Strecke hinter sich zu bringen und man hätte wahrscheinlich jede Menge Stress bei den vielen Grenzüberquerungen. Wohl nur einer der Gründe, warum sich das bisher wohl noch keiner gegeben hat.

Nobody in history has ever before managed to complete this real-life achievement. People have already climbed the tallest mountain, sunk to the deepest part of the ocean and even landed on the moon, but nobody has ever accomplished the longest possible walk. Die Erde aus Sicht der ISS: Beautiful World

Mal wieder wirklich schöne Aufnahmen der 56. ISS-Expedition, die uns mal wieder daran erinnern, dass wir keinen zweiten Planeten im Kofferraum haben, den wir rausholen können, wenn der hier komplett im Arsch ist. Und vielleicht sieht der mittlerweile halt auch nur noch von da oben so erhaben, so wunderschön und so erhaltenswert aus.

Sich aus Palettenholz eine Mini-Hütte in den Wald bauen

Aktuell vielleicht kein Thema für euch oder mich, aber man weiß ja nie, was noch kommen wird. Vielleicht kann diese Idee irgendwann mal nützlich sein. Spätestens dann, wenn der Baumarkt halt mal kein Holz mehr im Angebot haben sollte. Oder so.

To begin with, we started to break the pallets down into useable timber to build the foundations and the frame of the cabin. For the roof we used recycled tin from an old barn roof. We then used an old garden shed window and fit this to the western wall of the cabin. Once the framework and structure of the cabin was complete, we began to some pallet wood projects and focused on building furniture for the inside of the cabin.

We cooked our food over fire using a tripod lashed together bushcraft style until we installed the woodstove. Then we used cast iron cooking gear and the oven to cook up bigger meals. We learned many building skills on this project and it was great to build with hand tools.

Die 38-jährige Christina aus Texas wurde von ihrer Schwester gefragt, ob sie denn im August dieses Jahres nicht ihre Trauzeugin sein wollte. Ihre Schwester weiß wohl, das Christina nicht so der Fan von erwartbaren Kleiderordnungen ist und sagte ihr, dass sie anziehen könnte, was auch immer sie wollte. Christina kam im T-Rex-Kostüm.

‚About a year ago my big sister texted me asking if I would be her maid of honor,‘ she recalled. ‚She, knowing that I’m not a big fan of wearing formal dresses and that I probably wouldn’t have a lot of money to buy something really nice, reassured me by letting me know that I could pick out any outfit that I choose.

‚I was trying to think of something that I would be willing to wear more than once and thought to myself, „Well, she did say anything, and if I’m spending more than $50, I want it to be a dinosaur costume, because they’re fantastic and I’ve always wanted one.

When you're maid of honor and told you can wear anything you choose…I regret nothing 🤪
